Why should I donate or subscribe?
If you use the site, or any of those we host, your donations and/or subscriptions help secure their future. Running a website can get quite expensive, especially when it is as busy as War of the Ring.
You might look at it like buying a magazine each month. It is just the nature of the way the web that sites are often free at the beginning, but, as they become popular, and, thus, busier, costs go up, and quite often, advertising revenue is meagre or hard to come by. Basically, donations and subscriptions are what keep the site running.
Where does the money go?
The income from your donations and subscriptions is used soley for site expenses, including server fees, new software, and software licenses. and . Any additional sums (very rare) are used to buy prizes to give away on the site or kept for rainy days.
If I sign up for a year, how can I be sure you will still be around?
War of the Ring has been live and on line for over two years. We do not just run this site, but also Monsters and Critics. In addition, we host a large number of related websites, so you can be sure we will be around for a long time to come.
I want to cancel my subscription or service, how do I do this?
You can cancel Paypal and 2Checkout subscriptions yourself, via their respective sites. If you experience any problems with this, just contact WotR Services via this form and we will cancel your subscription for you.
