Welcome to the Tabletop Gaming section at War of the Ring. Tolkien described many battles and skirmishes, from the Disaster of the Gladden Fields to the great victory at The Pelennor Fields. Here, we hope to provide you with some resources to enable you to re-enact these conflicts. Primarily, we will look at Games Workshop's games, since they have a virtual monopoly on the market. Though some of their products are a bit pricey, they are fun and easy to pick up. We will also be providing rules for playing the battles described in the Armoury. These will be in a non-specific format, though we will include (or you can submit) Warhammer and Lord of the Rings game versions. As we get them, we will also be reviewing the new games and figures that are released. Later, we will expand to painting guides and scenery-making tutorials.
