The Rings will be back in Wellington in mid-December, with a major night carnival planned in the city for the Australasian premiere of the second Lord of the Rings movie The Two Towers.
There are also plans for a big push for the world premiere in Wellington of the final part of the trilogy in 2003. Former Wellington mayor Mark Blumsky is again..........more

Well if you are reading this then you are looking at the site on it's new server. We still have a few bugs to iron out, but most of the site should be working. The forums are also open again, though they will be under a bit of construction for a while. So a big thanks to all involved in making the move as painless as possible. A further thanks to our new hosts edge-host. They have been very helpful in giving us the kind of flexible terms that we required and a suitable machine for our needs. Thanks guys! Today, 2nd September, in 1973, J.R.R Tolkien died. Ronald is buried along with his wife in a single grave in Wolvercote cemetry in a suburb of Oxford. The legend on the grave reads: Edith Mary Tolkien, Lúthien, 1889-1971 John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, Beren, 1892-1973 So lets raise a glass to Tolkien for his great works which have delighted and inspired us all. Cheers!

New images of New Line Cinema’s LOTR: TTT have turned up in front of public eyes, and we’ve got them here. These are similar to other images previously released, but that doesn’t really make you want to skip them, does it? The most striking is of the place Saruman calls home, Isengard, while the others show Frodo, Sam and some soldiers of Rohan. Here they are.
