-- Posted by Illuvatar on Thursday, August 12 2004 at 2:38 AM GMT

We've been informed that there are still tickets available for the Howard Shore LOTR Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the 23rd September 2004.  The performance on the previous evening of the 22nd was sold out immediately, and the second date was then offered and put on sale from the 3rd August.

The Royal Albert Hall management state that they are concerned that the hundreds who were turned away from the first performance may not be aware that the second is being run the following evening and/or booking now.

If you're going to be in the London area you can get your tickets here!

Thanks Dave for the news flash!

Now, more than 200,000 copies later, a larger coffee table version of the book has been launched.... More

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Set Report

-- Posted by Radagast on Tuesday, August 10 2004 at 10:56 PM GMT

The filming was well hidden away from the road, but we counted at least 20 WB location signs on the way telling us exactly where to go.  After parking the car we sneaked through the woods (not knowing the security). Having previously been to Virginia Waters last year we were not sure of the reception that we would get whilst the filming was going on. However this time the security guards were really nice.... Baseball fuelled Viggo's Rings aggression

-- Posted by Radagast on Monday, August 9 2004 at 1:08 PM GMT

Viggo Mortensen was so ferocious in the Lord of the Rings trilogy battle sequences because he channeled his baseball frustration into fight scenes.

The actor is a devoted New York Mets fan, after he became enamoured with the team in 1969 when he arrived in America, and he made the mistake of having the 2000 Subway Series between his team and rivals the New York Yankees videotaped for him in New Zealand.

He explains: "A guy taped the Subway Series games and I watched them late at night. God, that was hard to watch. Just crushing. Horrible. It made me want to kill some more in the next scene." Source.
