Updates on Weta Medallion Program
Well some of you might know I am a keen collector of these medallions. I just recieved this update regarding the new ones due out for The Two Towers. They look excellent, and most interestingly another shot of Treebeard! Read on.
The Two Towers Medallion assortment was originally slated to begin releasing at the end of October 2002, however the assortment included characters that could not be released until after the debut of The Two Towers film in December. The Two Towers Medallions will begin releasing in January 2003 with Medallion #9 entitled “The Uruk-hai Beserkers.” This will be followed up with a release roughly every month building up to the August 2003 release of Medallion #16 “The Duel of Light and Fire.”
The Two Towers assortment features such characters as The Beserkers, King Theoden, Treebeard, Grishnákh and more! There is even more exciting news with this line up: The Two Towers Medallion Collection edition size has been set at 1,000 pcs. each world-wide. This limited edition size will make these beauties a sought after addition to your LOTR Medallion collection!
