Some Interesting Shots from The Making of the Movie Trilogy Today I am sitting down to review the recent movie tie-in books. While browsing The Lord of the Ring The Making of the Movie Trilogy, which I might interject is an amazing book (review shortly) I noticed some very interesting photos. These are not from The Two Towers but Return of the King. The first one is Grond, the great ram forged in Mordor to break down the gates of Minas Tirith. It was said to have the likeness of a ravenous wolf and was named in memory of Morgoth's mace. You can see it below.
This next one is from what I assume is the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. It shows some Gondorian Knights in the controversial plate armour.
This one again is maybe the Pelennor and show Gondorian cavalry, note the emblem on the banners.
This final photo is very interesting it is from the back of The two Towers Creatures book. It shows our first glimpse of Shelob's lair.
Certainly food for thought amongst all this Two Towers madness. If you are interested in purchasing the Creatures book here and the Making of the Trilogy here. Both at Amazon.
